Chelsea have confirmed the signing of United States males’s nationwide crew worldwide Caleb Wiley, the west London membership introduced on Monday.
Wiley, 19, joins on a six-year contract from Atlanta United within the MLS, having spent his youth profession with the Georgia-based crew.

The left-back made 77 MLS appearances for Atlanta, scoring six objectives and offering 5 assists.

“Caleb epitomizes the pathway that we envisioned once we began this membership,” Atlanta vp and technical director Carlos Bocanegra mentioned in a launch.
“Born and raised in Atlanta, he joined our Academy at 11 years outdated, performed for ATL UTD 2 and went on to earn each step in his path as much as signing as a homegrown.
“We want Caleb the perfect on this subsequent problem of his profession and look ahead to following his journey. For our membership transferring ahead, we’re persevering with our efforts to right away reinvest within the crew through the summer time switch window.”
Wiley made his debut for the senior U.S. males’s nationwide crew in October 2023 in a 1-1 draw with Concacaf rivals Mexico, and is a part of the under-23 squad that’s set to compete on the Paris Olympics within the coming weeks.
Wiley is Chelsea’s sixth signing of the summer time switch window, following the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Corridor, Marc Guiu, Omari Kellyman and Tosin Adarabioyo.
