BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Orioles acquired utilityman Nick Maton from the Detroit Tigers for money Wednesday evening.
Maton hit .173 with eight residence runs and 32 RBI in 93 video games for the Tigers final season. He has performed in 180 main league video games in three seasons with the Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies.
Maton was a part of Philadelphia’s World Sequence roster two seasons in the past when the Phillies misplaced to Houston.
The Phillies drafted Maton within the seventh spherical in 2017.
