With Tommy DeVito simply clearing the concussion protocol on Friday, the Giants will flip again to Drew Lock at quarterback this week down in Atlanta.
Head coach Brian Daboll stated that DeVito would be the major backup this week.
Final week, DeVito began instead of Lock (heel, elbow) and was knocked out proper earlier than halftime and relieved by veteran Tim Boyle. The Giants are selecting to not elevate Boyle to the beginning position, so Lock, who has improved health-wise, will draw the beginning.
Lock began the 2 earlier video games instead of Tommy DeVito, who was sidelined with a forearm damage. DeVito began final Sunday’s recreation in opposition to Baltimore and was dominated out at halftime with a concussion. He was changed by Boyle.
The Giants have had 4 completely different quarterbacks (Daniel Jones, DeVito, Lock, and Boyle) throw passes this season. That final occurred again in 1992 when Phil Simms, Jeff Hostetler, Dave Brown, and Kent Graham did it.
