COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — Adrián Beltré can have a Texas Rangers brand on his baseball Corridor of Fame plaque, whereas Jim Leyland won’t have any workforce emblem.
The Corridor of Fame made the announcement Friday, 10 days after Beltré was elected by the Baseball Writers’ Affiliation of America. Leyland was elected in December by the up to date period committee for managers, executives and umpires.
“I’m grateful for the time I spent with all of my groups throughout my profession,” Beltré stated in an announcement issued by the Corridor of Fame. “Wanting again, I performed extra years in Texas than wherever else and I imagine my time with the Rangers represents the height of my profession, individually and from a workforce standpoint. However I couldn’t have made this journey to Cooperstown with out the Los Angeles Dodgers, Seattle Mariners, Boston Crimson Sox, and their followers, and I’m proud that every of the groups I performed with will likely be listed on my Corridor of Fame plaque.”

The choice on the emblem was taken over by the Corridor of Fame forward of the 2002 vote.
This 12 months’s different two inductees spent their whole main league careers with one workforce: Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer and Colorado Rockies third baseman Todd Helton.
Inductions will happen July 31.
Beltré, 44, hit .286 with 477 house runs, 1,707 RBIs and three,166 hits for 4 groups over 21 seasons. The third baseman spent eight seasons with Texas (2011-18), seven with the Dodgers (1998-2004), 5 with Seattle (2005-09) and one with Boston (2010).
Leyland, 79, led the Florida Marlins to a World Sequence title in 1997 and received 1,769 regular-season video games over 22 seasons. He managed Pittsburgh for 11 seasons (1986-96), Florida for 2 (1997-98), Colorado for one (1999) and Detroit for eight (2006-13).
