Bearcats Pull Away From UCF 68-57 – BearcatReport
Dan Skillings Jr. scored 21 factors, John Newman III added 19 and Cincinnati pulled away within the final 5 minutes to beat UCF 68-57 on Saturday evening.
Newman’s dunk tied the sport 52-all with 5:15 remaining and sparked an 18-5 run to finish it. Skillings and Newman every scored seven factors throughout the stretch. The Bearcats shot 64% (14 of twenty-two) from the ground and outscored UCF 41-18 within the second half.
Cincinnati (14-6, 3-4 Huge 12), which entered having accomplished a six-game stretch in opposition to ranked groups, trailed UCF 39-27 at halftime. The Knights shot 52% within the first half however cooled to 21% (6 of 29) after the break.
