CHICAGO — Cubs starter Jordan Wicks left Friday’s 3-0 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals due to a strained proper indirect and can seemingly be positioned on the injured checklist, supervisor Craig Counsell stated.
Wicks exited within the second inning. He walked off the sector accompanied by a coach after giving up a two-out single to Dylan Carlson. Kyle Hendricks got here in and retired Brendan Donovan on a grounder to second.
“He felt it a pair pitches earlier than, after which after he threw a pair extra pitches, knew he could not do any extra,” Counsell stated. “So, we’ll get imaging tomorrow and certain IL, and we’ll go from there.”
