An NFL Corridor of Fame broad receiver’s son stated this week on the 2024 NFL Mix that he’d like to play for the New York Giants.
No, it wasn’t Marvin Harrison Jr. It was Brendan Rice, son of the nice Jerry Rice, who’s regarded by many to be the dean of all wideouts.
The youthful Rice, 21, is getting into the 2024 NFL draft after a 39-game school profession that started at Colorado and ended at USC with 103 receptions for 1,674 yards and 20 touchdowns.
His title recognition has generated some curiosity in him by each the media and NFL groups, considered one of them being the Giants.
“Sure, I’ve met with the Giants,” Rice informed the media in Indianapolis this week.
“The Giants could be lit to go to. I’d find it irresistible. Simply the chance to go to New York. I really feel as if the crew and group may be very sound and so they may go forward and construct one thing within the coming future.”
Rice, who’s lengthy and lean like his well-known father at 6-foot-2, ran a 4.51 40-yard sprint on the mix this week and his exercise drew some criticism from his dad.

After working the 40, Rice ran routes and confirmed off his arms with a tricky shoestring catch on the sideline. Whereas his dad was impressed, he was fast to critique his son on the play.
“He’s gotta drag that again foot,” Rice stated, alluding to the truth that his son didn’t get each his ft down. The remark drew laughs from the NFL Community crew that featured Michael Irvin, Kurt Warner and Steve Smith.
Jerry seems to be all-in on his son’s journey into skilled soccer. How ironic wouldn’t it be for the youthful Rice to finish up in Blue with the Giants, who had been a chief rival for Jerry’s nice 49ers groups of the Eighties?
Requested what the perfect piece of recommendation his father gave was, Brendan was frank.
“He all the time stated, ‘You’ve bought a final title, so you bought a goal in your again.’
“‘Ensure you keep within the second and don’t make the second too large. Don’t overthink and also you’ll be simply wonderful.’”
He’ll definitely get his likelihood and is sizing up as an early Day 3 (and presumably late Day 2) choice within the 2024 NFL draft.
