Michigan gained its first dedication within the 2026 class on Tuesday with a pledge from four-star quarterback Brady Hart, furthering the image of the Wolverines’ future on the place within the wake of nationwide champion and first-round NFL draft choose J.J. McCarthy.
Hart, the 6-foot-5 passer from Florida’s Cocoa Excessive College, is ranked a hundred and twentieth within the 2026 ESPN 300 and is the No. 8 pocket passer in his class. He picked Sherrone Moore’s program over finalists Ohio State, LSU, Miami, Florida and Clemson.
Hart’s dedication follows an unofficial go to to Ann Arbor this previous weekend. As a first-year starter final fall, Hart led Cocoa Excessive College to a 14-1 report and the Florida 2A state championship with 41 touchdowns to 11 interceptions.
Among the many prime 10 pocket passers within the 2026 class, Hart is now the fifth to announce his verbal pledge, becoming a member of Georgia commit Jared Curtis (No. 1 pocket passer in 2026), Texas pledge Dia Bell (No. 2), Florida commit Will Griffin (No. 7) and Notre Dame pledge Noah Grubbs (No. 9).
Moore and the Wolverines now have a transparent path towards the long run at quarterback. Michigan signed four-star dual-threat passer Jadyn Davis through the 2024 cycle and has quarterback Carter Smith (No. 14 pocket passer in 2025) dedicated within the upcoming class.
