The Philadelphia Phillies activated outfielder Brandon Marsh from the 10-day injured checklist Saturday after his restoration from a proper hamstring pressure.
In a corresponding transfer, the Phillies optioned infielder/outfielder Weston Wilson to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Marsh was positioned on the injured checklist June 3 after he strained the hamstring whereas operating the bases the day past in a loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. He felt one thing whereas operating to first on a single then grabbed the again of his leg after trying to spherical second base one batter later within the eighth inning. He signaled for the coaching employees and was lifted for a pinch runner.
The 26-year-old Marsh is batting .265 with six house runs and 26 RBIs in 52 video games this season. In components of 4 seasons with the Los Angeles Angels (2021-22) and Phillies (2022-present), he’s batting .260 with 31 homers and 157 RBIs in 389 video games.
Wilson, 29, is 0-for-4 in two video games with Philadelphia this season. He made his main league debut Aug. 9, 2023, and went 5-for-16 (.313) with one homer and two RBIs in eight video games for the Phillies final season.
