Detroit Pistons common supervisor Troy Weaver had an expletive-laced response to a heckling fan within the stands and pointed the person out to safety at Little Caesars Enviornment.
The heated trade, video of which was shared on social media, occurred throughout Detroit’s 142-124 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday evening.
“You threatened me,” the unidentified man was heard saying to Weaver on the video.
Weaver declined to remark Sunday.
Jeffrey Calloway, a 46-year-old season-ticket holder from Detroit, mentioned he was sitting close to Weaver when the fan approached the staff’s common supervisor twice earlier than being escorted away.

“The man that was within the incident, with the Purple Wings stuff on, came to visit and was pointing on the scoreboard earlier within the sport,” Calloway mentioned in a phone interview Sunday. “Troy Weaver simply shrugged his shoulders and mentioned, ‘OK,’ and the man went again to his seat.
“When [Jalen] Duren acquired ejected [midway through the fourth quarter], the man got here again and advised him that he was horrible at his job. Then, Troy Weaver was telling the fan he needed to depart and that is when ushers or safety walked over.”
The fan was escorted away from the seating space by safety staff.
Detroit set a single-season league document with 28 straight losses earlier this season and entered Sunday tied with Washington for the league’s worst document.
The Pistons gave Weaver his first alternative to be a common supervisor. Their document is 70-229 beneath him in three-plus seasons.
