Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Cities has been recognized with a torn meniscus in his left knee, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Thursday.
Cities is out indefinitely with the harm and is searching for second opinions, Charania added.
The harm comes at a devastating time for the Timberwolves, who’ve been among the many leaders within the Western Convention all season.
It’s unclear when the harm occurred. The Wolves stated on Wednesday that Cities was coping with left knee soreness and that he wouldn’t play Thursday towards the Pacers.
Cities, in his ninth season, was an All-Star who’s averaging 22.1 factors and eight.4 rebounds over 60 video games.
