Dec. 26—Seven locals have been named West Virginia first-team All-State with Class AA state champion Frankfort boasting 5 picks.
The Falcons, who completed 14-0, put offensive lineman Daniel Marley, working again Jullian Pattison, defensive lineman Lane Lease, linebacker Jett McCullough and defensive again Jacob Nething on the AA high squad.
Marley, who was voted John B. “Jack” Gilmore Memorial Lineman of the 12 months regionally, helped pave to means for Morton W. Peskin Sr. Memorial Offensive Participant of the 12 months Pattison to have 132 carries for 1,457 yards and 30 touchdowns.
McCullough was named captain of the protection after racking up 92 tackles (53 solo) with 13 tackles for loss, one sack, one fumble restoration and three go breakups.
Lease garnered 36 tackles (19 solo) with 10 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one fumble restoration and two go breakups.
Nething led the world with six interceptions and broke up three extra passes.
Two extra locals appeared on All-State first groups as specialists: Keyser’s Tommy Nash at Class AAA punter and East Hardy’s Levi Value as Class A kicker.
Nash had 26 punts for 916 yards, a 35.2 common. Value linked on 4 of 8 discipline objectives with a protracted of 43 yards and made 24 of 28 further factors.
The realm had six addition representatives on second groups from six completely different faculties.
In Class AAA, Hampshire’s Vinny Greear was a second-team utility after making 54 receptions for 1,040 yards and 10 touchdowns, and Keyser’s Jake Anderson a linebacker following a season by which he recorded 123 tackles and 12 tackles for loss.
Frankfort put another on the second group in Carder Shanholtz at offensive utility. Shanholtz had 98 carries for 1,201 yards (12.3 yards per carry) and 18 touchdowns.
Moorefield’s Oliver Crites was a Class AA second group utility participant on protection. He had 53 tackles, three for loss.
East Hardy’s Value Strawderman and Petersburg’s Peyton Tingler landed on the Class A second squad.
Strawderman did in order a working again after he had 203 rushes for 1,211 yards and 15 whole touchdowns and Tingler as a receiver (31 receptions, 698 yards, 10 touchdowns).
Native honorable mentions included Grayson Lambka (Keyser) and Landon Eversole (Hampshire) in Class AAA, Chayse Myers (Moorefield) in Class AA and Eli Mathias (East Hardy), Payton Metheny (Petersburg) and Hint Rohrbaugh (Petersburg) in Class A.
